Questions

Before you apply

Is financial aid available?

Yes. Need-based aid is available for both fellowships. You see the program details and the aid option when you apply.

Is it remote?

Yes. Both fellowships are fully remote. You work with your startup and meet your mentors online, from wherever you live.

When does it run?

You can join over the winter, in the summer, or during the school term. Applications are open now for the December 2027 winter cohort. We also run two summer cohorts: the first starts in May and the second starts in July. During the school term, you can apply for off-cycle mentorship.

Can I apply to both fellowships?

Yes. Choose both on the application form. You do one fellowship at a time, and you can do the other in a later cohort.

Do I need a startup idea for the Venture Fellowship?

An idea or project helps, but it is not required. We also accept founders who are still exploring.

What work will I do in the Tech Fellowship?

You work on real projects at a YC or venture-backed startup, in engineering, product, growth or design.
